MercaSID present at the National Meeting of Women in Export 2024

MercaSID, a Grupo SID company, participated in the fifth edition of the National Meeting of Women in Export 2024, reaffirming its commitment to the development of foreign trade and female leadership in the export sector.

The event, organized by the Export and Investment Center of the Dominican Republic (ProDominicana), took place on December 3 and 4, 2024 at the institution’s facilities. During the meeting, the importance of female participation in global trade was highlighted and the role of women in the internationalization of Dominican companies was recognized.

The day began with the conference “Women and Free Trade Zone: Development Model in an Inclusive System”, given by Claudia Pellerano, followed by the panel “Expanding Horizons in Internationalization”, with the participation of outstanding leaders in the sector, including Soraya Checo, Haydée Kuret de Rainieri and Yoanny García.

On behalf of Grupo SID, Mariel López, Corporate Export Manager, was present at the event, strengthening the company’s presence in networking spaces and B2B business rounds, aimed at diversifying export markets.

The National Meeting of Women in Export 2024 also presented the results of the 5.⁰ Study on the Exports of Companies Managed by Women in the Dominican Republic, in addition to recognizing outstanding companies in the Pro-Leadership, Pro-Internationalization and Pro-SME Performance categories. An exhibition of products from exporting companies and potential exporters was also inaugurated, providing an ideal platform for strengthening commercial connections and generating new business opportunities.
