José Miguel Bonetti Du-Breil Recognized for a Career That Transcends the Business World

The executive vice president of MercaSID received the award during the 15th Acroarte Award Gala for Journalistic Merit, in recognition of a career that has transcended the business sphere. Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic – The Association of Art Critics (Acroarte), presided over by Marivell Contreras, recognized José Miguel Bonetti Du-Breil for his outstanding career and contributions to the development of various sectors of Dominican society during the 15th Acroarte Award Gala for Journalistic Merit. This recognition highlighted Bonetti’s career and his contributions to the development of Dominican society from different fields. As executive vice president of MercaSID, José Miguel Bonetti Du-Breil has been instrumental in the growth and evolution of one of the leading consumer goods companies in the Dominican Republic. From his position, he has contributed to the organization’s development and the consolidation of its business vision, supporting the company’s transformation and growth processes. His career has also been closely linked to Dominican sports, particularly baseball, as part of the board of directors of the Leones del Escogido, an organization with which he has contributed to the strengthening and development of one of the country’s most traditional sports franchises. His involvement with the media marked an important stage in the evolution of national television. Through different projects and platforms, he contributed to the development of new proposals and content for the Dominican audience. “I receive this recognition with great gratitude and with the satisfaction of having had the opportunity to contribute to the country from different areas. This recognition inspires me to continue believing in the talent, potential, and capacity that we Dominicans have to build a better country,” Bonetti Du-Breil stated. He was accompanied at the event by his sister, Ligia Bonetti; his son, José Miguel Bonetti Terán, along with his wife, Stefania Szapiro; and Christian Llenas, who shared with him this significant moment of recognition for a career marked by leadership and his contributions from various spheres of national life. During the XV Gala of the Acroarte Award for Journalistic Merit, the institution recognized the work and contributions of personalities who, from different fields, have contributed to the development and strengthening of Dominican society.
Likewise, his foray into the film industry is part of a diverse career. He has participated in productions such as Yuniol, Playball, and Jaque Mate, and more recently, the film project Zumeca. His support for cultural initiatives also reflects his interest in contributing to the growth of sectors fundamental to the country’s identity and development. Upon receiving the award, José Miguel Bonetti expressed his gratitude to Acroarte and emphasized the profound significance of being recognized by an institution that for decades has valued the talent and contributions of those who contribute to the development of the Dominican Republic.
